FAQS ON DUPONT CORIAN
What is the best way to clean Corian countertop?
For most residues, all you need to clean your Corian countertops is warm soapy water, ammonia-based household cleaner, or a dedicated countertop cleaner. Do avoid window cleaners, however, as they can leave a waxy build-up that dulls the surface.
Does Corian require sealing?
Corian Solid Surface is stain-resistant. Because Corian Solid Surface is nonporous, stains can’t penetrate the surface, so it’s easy to clean and maintain. Unlike natural stone, Corian Solid Surface never requires sealing.
Can Corian countertops be cut?
When you order a Corian countertop, it usually comes precut to the size you specify, but if things change during the installation procedure and you need to cut it, you can do it with virtually any saw that cuts wood, including a circular saw. To use a circular saw, you need a blade that can handle thick plastic.
Is Corian drillable?
Corian is drillable with standard drill bits and hole saws and is moderately difficult to break. However, you must be careful not to mar the surface when drilling.
